Whose Your Teacher?

Pillar and Bulwark of Truth

The stories of St Monica and her son, St Augustine of Hippo, are correlated to the Small Groups Bible Study from 1stTimothy. St Paul describes the Church as “pillar and bulwark” of the truth, and warns of false teachings, inspired by demons and proliferated by men with seared consciences. The gathering ends with a prayer of thanksgiving for the Church and a request to contribute to her strength, as did St. Augustine, by faithfulness and obedience.
